The Cuban research Institute presented a great panel discussion about Jose Bedia and the impact his art work has made in the Afro-Cuban community.
As an International Relations student it was no surprise how art can express a variety of culture, history, cultural change. Non-Westernized art is Jose Bedia fascination, I was impressed by Jose's art pieces and how they all tell a story, I was fortunate to ask him what has been the most cultural impact he has encounter in his career? very kindly he responded that his art work reflects the cultural impact as a whole , he travels constantly to Africa and it is always a box of surprises.
His fascination for non-westernized cultures had led to create stories that we have never heard, his way to express heritage and how it impacts everyone, from religion, to customs to the way we dress.
